Frequently asked questions

Got questions? We've got answers

Are Waka really as durable as Wild Tribe boards?

Yes — and that's not marketing speak. Waka uses the same MSL fusion PVC construction as our premium Wild Tribe line. The difference isn't material quality, it's the performance experience: Wild Tribe boards are 60% stiffer and 4.75" thick, which makes them faster and more responsive.

How long does it really take to inflate?

Waka comes with a large chamber, double-action pump that inflates on both the push and pull stroke — which cuts inflation time roughly in half compared to standard single-action pumps. Most paddlers are on the water in under 5 minutes. We've timed it.

What's actually the difference between Waka and Wild Tribe?

Both boards are built by the same team, with the same materials and the same 3-year warranty. The difference is performance. Wild Tribe is 60% stiffer and sits at 4.75" thick — this means less flex, faster glide, less drag, and a ride that feels closer to a hard board. Waka is 6" thick and 15 PSI — more forgiving, great for beginners, and perfectly capable for years of casual paddling.

Is Waka good for heavier or taller paddlers?

Yes. The 6" thickness gives Waka more volume, so even more weight capacity than Wild Tribe for the same dimensions. It handles a wide range of body types well. People over 220 lbs should get the XL version at 33" wide to get maximum stability.

What's your return policy?

We offer 30-day hassle-free returns on all boards in new, unused condition. If you've taken it out on the water and something isn't right, contact our team — we're reasonable people and we want you happy on the water.

What does the 3-year warranty actually cover?

Our 3-year warranty covers manufacturing defects, seam failures, and material issues under normal use conditions. It's the same full coverage we offer on our premium Wild Tribe line — not a limited warranty or partial coverage. If there's a defect, we make it right.

I've never paddleboarded before, is Waka right for me?

Yes — Waka was specifically designed with first-timers in mind. The 6" thick platform gives you a wide, stable base that's forgiving when you're finding your balance. Most beginners are standing and paddling confidently within their first session. It won't make paddle boarding harder than it needs to be.
